INTERVIEW WITH RAYCHUL MOORE
Hey guys DWA926 AKA The Gamer with Dreads here with my first Blog post EVER! This past weekend I got to interview a YouTube star named Raychul Moore. She was AWESOME and replied with all her answers right away and here they are! Enjoy!

1-You’re pretty well known for your cosplay. What is your favorite cosplay you have ever done?
Oh, well thank you! <3 My personal favorite cosplay is probably the Kratos costume I did. I am a huge God of War fan and Kratos is one of my all-time favorite video game characters, so being able to summon my inner anger and wield those Blades of Chaos was more than just a fangirl moment for me.

2- Can you tell us anything about your upcoming cosplay ideas?
Sure! I am planning a few for this upcoming SDCC that I can’t quite talk about yet because they are for a few cosplay groups with other girls...but I am working on Kasumi from Dead or Alive and also a female Dante from the original Devil May Cry.

3-You’re really into horror movies. What is the first horror movie you saw?
I am! The first horror movie I ever saw was Candyman. Scared the holy hell out of me.

4-Did it give you nightmares?
Oh did it ever! But from then on, I have been completely fascinated with horror. I love to be scared!

5-I know you’re a big Star Wars fan.  Do you remember the first time you saw it?
I don’t remember the very first time I saw it, my dad got me started on the Star Wars movies when I was very very young. But I do remember some of my most fondest memories with my dad were when we’d sit down on a Sunday afternoon and watch Star Wars together for the millionth time.
6-You have talked about The Walking Dead in some of your videos. What is your opinion of the show and the comic? Which one do you like more?
I am totally one of those annoying graphic novel elitist that sits there watching the show and scoffs at how awful it is and how awesome the comic is. Yep. That’s me. I mean, the show isn’t terrible, it’s just I don’t agree with a lot of the changes they have made to the story and characters. The comic is such a genius piece of artwork...why mess with that?

7- 2013 is a big year for the Video game industry. What are you looking forward to most this year?
Still tons and tons of awesome games to look forward to, but what I am most excited about is the next-gen consoles and announcements. I love being a part of a new generation of games and seeing how the industry and us gamers evolve.

8- There are a lot of good looking games coming out this year. What game are you looking forward to most?
Well with God of War: Ascension and Bioshock Infinite already out, the game I am most most excited for now is The Last of Us. I am a huge Naughty Dog fangirl, and I think they are one of the best game studios we have in this industry right now. So any year they have a new game coming out, that game will be at the top of my list.

9- How did you first get into gaming and what was the first game you ever played?
I first got into gaming way back when I was just a little thing. My dad introduced me to my first love, which was Pitfall on the Atari 2600. I never stopped gaming after that.

10- If you could only play one game (or game series) for the rest of your life what would it be?
Oh, tough one!! Naturally, my first thought is either Uncharted or Bioshock...but then when I really think about it...I’d probably have to say Mario. Mario games (and I’m talking about the true Mario games like 64, Sunshine, Galaxy) have stood the test of time over and over again, more so than any other series with Zelda games arguably in a close second. So yeah, if I had to trust one game series to always deliver something completely entertaining and innovating, I’d go with Mario.

11- How did you get into Video Game journalism?
Kinda by accident actually. It just happened with huge thanks to EGM and GamePro. Those guys really helped me out in getting my hands into the game industry and teaching me the ropes. I owe everything to them!

12- Do you have any advice for people looking to get into Video Game journalism?
Do it! It’s really the best job ever, just doesn’t pay much, so make sure you’re doing it because you love it. :) There are plenty of outlets for people just getting into the scene, so if you wanna pursue this as a career, start reaching out to as many sites as you can!

13- Do you have anything you would like to say to all of your fans?
Yes! I simply wanna say, I love you guys! I am lucky to have the best fan base ever and I am so proud to have their support! They keep me smiling every day and I strive to do the same for them! <3

I hope you enjoyed this interview there are many more to come!
